Career Advancement Coaching Startup Appoints Four Top Human Resources Leaders to Advisory Board
HR and Recruiting Experts Laurie Ruettimann, Carmen Hudson, Jennifer McClure and Lars Schmidt Join CareerPoint as Advisors
Lamy, New Mexico (January 2022) Startup CareerPoint, the world’s first career advancement coaching platform, empowering young professionals and leveling the playing field for historically under-represented groups, announced the addition of four of the most influential leaders in human resources and recruiting today to its advisory board: Laurie Ruettimann, Carmen Hudson, Jennifer McClure and Lars Schmidt.
Career advancement coaching has long been only available to senior leadership, companies spending big bucks while overlooking the value it would have on the company’s younger professionals, an audience today’s human resources professionals are now actively engaging.
CareerPoint was founded by Steve McIntosh, an expert in executive recruitment and HR consultant, and two fellow Oxford University MBA candidates, now graduates, Shawn McQueen Ruggeiro, a nonprofit veteran and Sipha Ndawonde, management consultant, CareerPoint emphasizes something McIntosh believes is key but often overlooked by other HR initiatives – the concept of value. How employees create value for their employers; and why the value employees create is the true driver of career advancement.
The startup’s innovative four-hour coaching program, delivered remotely, aims to build confidence, enhance employee value and develop the win-win relationships young professionals need to advance and achieve what they want professionally and personally, while assisting companies in retaining good talent.
“We are thrilled to welcome these four incredible industry leaders into CareerPoint,” said McIntosh. “The fact that they have joined our advisory board gives more credibility to the concept of CareerPoint and our mission to help all young professionals advance in their careers and in life.”
