Cascade PR Brings on Award-winning Journalist, Sandra Guy, as Content Strategist

Here at Cascade Communications, we're always innovating to stay ahead of industry trends to ensure success for our clients now and in the future.

That's why we were a virtual agency long before anyone else and decades before angry viruses forced us to be. In fact, Cascade launched as a virtual agency in 2001. We've perfected that model.

That's why, years ago, Cascade became more than a PR firm for startups, small and mid-sized businesses. It is a Story Agency and Consulting Firm because we know that, then and now, PR is far more than just public relations.

That's why Cascade created the Cascade360 strategy that is the basis for our Story Agency model. It's what we breathe everyday.

That's why we're now a global agency with clients around the world.

That's why when we were reconnected to a highly respected journalist and she said yes to coming on board as our Content Strategist, we we're over the moon thrilled!

Many of you will know her. For the past 21 years, Sandra has been a reporter, a freelance writer and technology columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times. As a podcast contributor and freelance writer for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) magazine for the past 10 years, Sandra has won several awards for coverage, including the 2010 Grand Award from the Awards for Publication Excellence and then received it again in 2018, the Grand Award for a cover feature and the Feature Writing Award of Excellence.

A native of Appalachia, Sandra started her career at The Coalfield Progress newspaper in southwestern Virginia after she was graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in English and communication from Emory & Henry College in 1983. She has started work toward a master’s degree in public policy studies at the University of Chicago.

Sandra served as president of the Chicago chapter of the Association for Women Journalists (AWJ) 2001-2003, and has taught as an adjunct instructor at DePaul University in the College of Communication since 2011.

Here at Cascade, Sandra will be leading our content strategies and execution, ensuring that our clients messages are communicated in a way that drives engagement, participation and success!

With Sandra's expert story telling skills contributing to our Cascade360 approach, our client's will reap the benefits.
